The evidence and approval behind an enforcement decision
How Vio’s case links evidence and school approval to a citation, with public payment and appeal pages planned.

A family asking why a citation was issued should be able to see the answer. Veramast keeps the violation, the amount, the due date, the evidence, and the issuing decision with the citation. A case that led to it also shows the observations and the rule Vio followed.
Before an action runs
#Vio proposes an action with its fields filled and the evidence attached. Permission depends on the rule in force, the campus’s automation level, the member’s access, and the jurisdiction. At Auto, the default level, citations and tows wait for a person’s approval. Cautious requires approval for every action.
Unrestricted allows more actions to run without a person where the jurisdiction permits them. It is marked Not recommended, and raising the level requires two people. A jurisdiction that does not permit automated citations still requires a person’s approval. Staff can override or dismiss a case at every level, with a recorded reason.
The person deciding sees the basis
#A citation proposal identifies the case, the rule, and the observations behind it. An unreadable plate cannot support Vio’s citation proposal. A person can approve, decline with a reason, or hold the case. The timeline keeps that decision rather than replacing what happened before it.
Public payment and appeal pages are planned
#The planned citation link will let its holder pay or appeal. The design calls for an appeal to pause escalation while a person at the school considers it, with a decision to uphold, dismiss, or reduce the citation. Public citation appeals and online payment collection are not available yet.
The record remains reviewable
#A void needs a reason; it does not erase the citation. A tow has its own authorization and operational history. Those records let the school explain an enforcement decision after the immediate situation has passed. The planned card collection flow will add payment and refund history.
Online card collection is planned, with family payments designed to settle to the school’s own account. Today staff record permit fees collected offline when approving a registration, with the payment method and receipt number. That registration record does not provide card checkout or a citation payment service.
