We started with the question, not the camera

Schools were sold surveillance and asked to find a use for it.

Terms of service

Version 1 · 6 Oct 2026

These terms are between Veramast (“Veramast”) and each person who uses the Veramast service for a school or district (“you”). Your school’s or district’s own agreement with Veramast governs the service it orders; these terms govern how you use it.

Your account

Your school or district invites you and gives you a role, and it can change or end your access at any time. You keep your sign-in methods to yourself, and you tell your school and Veramast at once if you think someone else has used them.

Using the service

You use the service only for your school’s or district’s purposes, within your role, and as the acceptable use statement allows.

You do not try to reach data your role does not give you, to test the service’s security without Veramast’s written permission, or to copy, change, or take apart its software.

The data you see

The data in the service belongs to your school or district. You use what you see only for your work for it, and keep it confidential.

What Veramast records

The service records what you do in it, with the time and the way you signed in, because every change to the school’s data is attributed to the person who made it.

Changes to these terms

When Veramast changes these terms, it tells you before the change applies, and you accept the new version before you go on using the service. Earlier versions stay available by their date.

Contact

Write to Veramast at support@veramast.com with any question about these terms.

Contact

Versions

Version 1, approved 6 Oct 2026. This is the version in effect.

Each later version is published here with its date, and earlier versions stay available, so a school can always read the version it accepted.
